I have added the PHP5 to UBUNTU 12.04

and installed the PHP5

However I can't find two packages

Any idea how they are called now?

Solution, that PHP documentation here discourages. Install ldap extension php windows. The only workaround, I found is to copy 'libsasl.dll' to 'system32' system directory. So, to summarize, section 'Note to Win32 users' is twice wrong.

Install Php Mbstring

You should check the package description for PHP from that repo.

Note that mbstring and xml are built in according to the description.
